Analytical Exposition

The House Believes That infotainment brings more harm than good. In this modern age, some informations is one of the things that we can have it all the time. We can access it from television, person to person, or internet. But, there are some informations that, maybe they said, brings more harm than any good to everyone. Infotainment is one of the nformations that they believe brings harm, especially for the chlidren. Infotainment is a program that talking all about actress. Some people say it gossip. Infotainment is not only talk about their job, but also their love story, their family problems, or other problems. Infotainment can be showed in television for two until four times in one day.

The good side of the infotainment is we can be a great human like an actress by look on their success. We can see the way to be a success person. They are success because their performance in television and we can follow them if we know the secret of their success, like the infotainment says. People who fond on the infotainment programs believe that the content of infotainment program are based on the fact and encourage celebrities to do positive things in public. Moreover, celebrities need such program to promote their profile. Besides, infotainment entertains the audience while informing them through the use of sound effects, background music, and humor.

The bad side of the infotainment is the content may not be appropriate, for example issues such as war or violence should not be made to be entertaining. Some people say many infotainments talk about celebrities that isn’t true. Many news about that is a lie and just make any sensation  to make the clebrities more popular. They say that infotainment programs are merely about slandering another person. Sometimes the program goes too far into the private lives of people. For example, the news about the divorce of someone. Sometimes the stories are reported without asking the confirmation from that person. So, the infotainment may deliver the wrong informations in order to maintain their image.

In my opinion, the infotainment can be a good information for us. The important thing is we can choose which is the good information and the bad information. We can follow the good for our life. Sometimes we can follow the lifestyle from the celebrities. Otherwise, the infotainment can brings harm for us because we indirectly talk about someone’s privacy. And sometimes the information is not the truth.

STRENGTH WEAKNESS AND WISHES

Hellooooooooo! My name is Nadira Nurul Fadhilah. I want to share about my strength, weakness, and wishes. It’s just an opinion so don’t worry if you don’t really agree with me hehehe. In life, someone has strength, weakness, and wishes. As Mahatma Gandhi, Indian political and spiritual leader, said “Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will” and “The weak never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong”. In my friends and I opinion, i have some strength and weakness. First of all, I think I’m not too easy to make friend with someone new. Sometimes, I don’t want to start the conversation first. I get friends because my close friends introduce me to him or her. But, I will talk to him or her if they are just doing nothing to introduce himself or herself to me. Besides, I think I’m a loyal friend. When someone becomes my close friend, I can talk, walk, and play with him or her for many hours without feeling so bored. In fact, I’m very happy if I spend my time with them and can meet them everyday. Second, if someone tell his or her problems, I will listen to their story. But, sometimes I can’t give an advice for their problems, just listen to their problems and doing nothing besides say “be patient” and................silent. HAHAHA. Oh ya, except for my bestfriend because I know his or her story from the first until now. Third, in a teamwork, I’m doing my best for them, such as do all the things that I should have done. But, I can’t be the leader for that. I can’t manage the things that we should do and especially the people. And then, sometimes I’m too lazy to share my opinion and just sit and agree with the people’s opinion even when I don’t. Hahaha. And then, I can wake up about at 5 a.m., when some people don’t want to wake up early when it was a weekend. I can wake up so early because my mother doesn’t want her daughter just sleep and doing nothing. My mother gets angry when i woke up at 5.30 a.m. although it’s just a half from 5 a.m. She said, “wake up! you have to do the pray. It’s 5 a.m! You won’t wake up if I don’t wake you up. How could it be when you become adult?” Yaaaaah, that’s ok for me, maybe. I think that is one of my strength hahaha. And another weakness is that I can’t gain weight so easily hahaha, when some people can. But, it doesn’t really important for me. I wish that I can keep my strength and change my weakness into something better. I haven’t decided which job I wanna do yet. Maybe, I want to be an architect but I think my drawing isn’t really good. And the other I want to be a chemist. Yaaaah, it’s just a wishes, I hope I can be the person I want, just keep trying so we can get what we want.

The Paper Boy

A clump of hair smacked across Colin's face. The wind even tried wrestling him to the ground. Instead of newspapers, it felt as if Colin’s news-bag was full of Nova Scotia potatoes.
Maybe it had to do with the news dad read before Colin left the house. The morning headlines were full of the usual sad stories.
"For goodness sakes," dad said. "No good news again!"
CAR ACCIDENTS! HOUSE BURNS! STORM DAMAGE!
Colin wished he could have been able to cheer up dad. He moved quickly from house to house leaving papers on the porch or in the mailbox.
It helped being the fastest runner in the school and even wearing his new running shoes.
Right now Colin wished he could bring only good news to his family, also to his friendly neighbors. "There's that paper boy bringing sad news again," they were probably saying.
"How could he make things better for everyone?" he wondered as he continued to deliver his papers.
He met Nathan near Victoria Park. Colin really liked Nathan, even if his words sometimes got mixed up.
Someone told him Nathan was mentally challenged. But Colin didn't care. Nathan was his friend.
Colin noticed Alice coming. She was in his class. She only had one real eye. The other was made of glass. He liked Alice even if people called her, "Bionic lady," behind her back.
He didn't realize how much It helped her, having a friend like Colin.
The dog down the street barked loudly. Prince was lonely tied to his chain and Colin knew all he needed was a good friend. He always liked to pat the dog's head.
Prince's breath was warm as he licked Colin's hand.
"It's okay boy," he told the dog.
Each time Colin left a paper by a customer's door he felt bad, such sad news. How could he make some good news? He thought about it a lot, as he made his rounds.
Colin gave his usual cheerful "Hi" to everyone on his route. Adults and children on both sides of the street yelled and waved back.
His smile was like the rising sun.
Someone was crying and he ran to where a little boy had fallen and hurt his leg. Colin calmed him down until the boy's mother arrived.
"I'm glad you're my paperboy," she told Colin.
He continued on his route, still ten more customers to go. But, he didn't feel tired. It was fun doing what he usually did, helping others.
Now, let's see. What else could he do to cheer up people?
His best friend Donna came by to pick up her paper. It saved him from going all the way to the second floor.
It was her way of saying ‘thanks’ for giving her a chance to earn money, helping him on Saturdays. She was saving money for Christmas presents.
Besides, he liked Donna a lot.
Mr. Weatherby was such a grouch but Colin didn't mind. His car was not working, again. And Mr. Weatherby's lawn was all grown up, again.
Colin would come later and cut the grass. No charge, again.
He raced up the street to his last customer. Colin had quite a bit of energy left, as he bounded up the stairs. Mrs. Williams saw him coming and had her usual snack waiting.
She wondered why such a lively boy always had time to chat with an old lady.
Lemonade and his favorite peanut butter cookies were a neat treat. After all, she had told him many times he was her favorite paperboy.
His own treat for his customers came from his little boy's heart. Colin was so full of joy, and it made him many friends.
Everyone looked forward to his daily trips with the newspaper, even if some of the news was sad.
There were customers from all over. Some even came from China and Africa. Others had thick, wavy hair and some, no hair.
Colin didn't mind. He liked them all.
Some of his customers were fat, others skinny. And some had customs and clothes, which were different. But it didn't matter to Colin.
He liked them all.
Colin did have much good news to share, even if he didn't realize it. His smile and polite manners brought cheering-up news to all his customers.
Yes, Colin was a very special paperboy.

Giraffe

Now let me tell you about the facts of giraffe.
Giraffe is well-known for tall profile, their long neck, and their pattern. Despite giraffe being easily recognizeable, there are facts about giraffe that make them worth a closer look.

Giraffe is the tallest of all living land animals. The height is nearly 6 m or 19ft. Their long neck consists of just seven vertebrae, same with other mammals, but in giraffe each neck vertebrae is greatly elongated.

The okapi is the closest living relative to the giraffe. Giraffe belong to the family Giraffidae. Giraffeidae is subdivided into two subgroups, the genus Giraffa and the genus Okapia.

Giraffe prefer habitat where there is an abundance of acacia trees on which they feed. Giraffe has a preference for feeding on young leaves but will eat grasses and other plant matter.

Giraffe has short horns on their head also known as ossicones. Both male and female giraffes have horns. The ossicones of giraffes remain covered by skin and fur. Ossicones can help to distinguish between male and female giraffe. Females have hair on the top of the ossicones. Males usually have bare-topped ossicones (the hair often worn away during combat with other males)

White giraffe is extremely rare and are not albinos. All of these white giraffes have had some pigmentation, either dark eyes or pattern.no true albino giraffe have ever been discovered.

Giraffes have longer forelegs than hind legs.

A giraffe’s heart has high enough pressure to pump blood up the giraffe’s long neck to its head. But when giraffe lowers its head it risks injury due to excessive blood pressure. To counter this, giraffes have pressure-regulating system which restricts the amount of blood that rushes towards the brain when the giraffe lowers its head.

Tooth Fairy

Constance was the only girl of her family who believed that tooth fairy was real. Well, all 3-year-old kids believed all kind of fantasy but she believed tooth fairy the most. It started when her mother read her “Tooth Fairies are Real!” to sleep. It said that you just have to believe it, then it will come to your house.
“mommy, when will my tooth fall out?” ask Constance when they had a breakfast.
“you’re only 3 years old, sweety, you sister’s fell out when she was 5 and it was a bad experience for her” said her mother.
“does it hurt, Kate? Do I have to wait that long?”
“yes it hurts. And no. I can push you so you’ll fall and your tooth will fall out. Why are you so excited?” said her sister, Kate.
“really? I want to see tooth fairy. Is there another way so I could see tooth fairy without having my tooth fall out?”
“there are no such thing like tooth fairy, little Constance”
“kate! You will meet tooth fairy one day, Constance” said her mother.
That day, Constance was at her room and her sister was watching TV. Let’s see if I can meet a tooth fairy. You’ll regret what you had said, Kate. I’m only a little girl but I’m not stupid. Constance spoke to herself and she started her research about tooth fairy. She started looking at her sister’s book collection. Actually, Kate never allowed anyone to touch her books.
“is that a sound of my room’s door being opened?” Kate said as she rose and went to her room.
“Constance! What the....... are you doing here?!”
“sorry Kate. I’m searching for... ah.. my pillow! I know it’s comfortable but you can’t take it from me whenever you want. Well I guess that’s all. I’m not going to steal your book and make some research about tooth fairy. It’s not real, huh? Hahah”
                “I have a weird sister”
Constance went to her room. She is a clever little girl. Kate didn’t even realize she took her “Fairy Fairy here I Come!” bedtime stories book. So Constance started her research. It said that tooth fairies lived at Oak Tree. They said tooth fairies only had 10 years to live their life. But that’s all. Nothing important. So, the next day...
“mommy, do we have an oak tree?”
“hmmm. Do you know Jane? Her house is 3 blocks away from here. She has oak tree”
“really? I want to go there mom, let’s go to Jane’s!”
“what’s so special about an oak tree? I’m busy. Kate’s having 3 days off from school. ask her. Well, I think I’m going now. Have a nice day sweety”
                “okay... bye mom!”
Constance, the 3-year-old little girl, who was curious about tooth fairy, went to Jane’s house alone. It was her secret mission and she has to hide it from Kate.
“mommy said that I’m a clever girl. I can do it I can do it I can do it.” All Kate knew was that her sister is sleeping in her bed, but it was only a pillow.
“hello mrs. Vansitaart. I’m Constance Wheterall. My house is 3 blocks away from here. I’m here to play with Jane.”
“oh, hi Constance. Jane’s in her room. You came all the way here alone?”
                “yes. Thank you mrs. Vansitaart.”
“wow. She is clever.” As mrs. Vansitaart said that, Constance smiled.
Jane’s room was decorated with pink colour, barbie, and of course, tooth fairy. She’s Constance’s partner to talk about tooth fairy.
“what? Tooth fairies live at oak tree? Are you sure? I have oak tree right in my backyard!”
“I read it on Kate’s bedtime stories book. And they will shine”
“you’re lying. It’s not shining, Constance”
“of couse it’s not shining. It will shine at night and when kids are sleeping Jane”
Day by day Constance looking for a sign from any tooth fairy, but she never found any. She knew that tooth fairy is as big as human, but they can shrink into smaller size. She knew all the things about tooth fairy. But why, why did tooth fairy never give her a sign?
“Ah I wish my tooth will fall out tomorrow. I’m 5 now!”
And finally, her tooth fall out! It was her first experience.
“ Yeah yeah yeah I’m going to put it under my pillow! Aaaa! I can’t sleep I want to see tooth fairy”
And as she turn back because she just can’t sleep, she saw it. A light. It’s blue.
“Tooth fairy? Are you going to take my tooth?”
And that light turn into a human size tooth fairy. Oh, God! Tooth fairies are exist.
“Ssst.” The tooth fairy said it as it fly away as a light.

National Exam

National exam is a final test that hold by the government for elementary school and high school. This test is held to measure students' intelligence. The scores from the national exam also determine students' graduation. But, in fact, it just makes the students scare and stress. They scare about the score and can not pass the test. Over the years, the implementation of the national exam is getting worse.
I think, national exam is not too important for us. It is because the students’ ability scored by the proccess not the result. The graduation is determined by how the students’ study in the school. The scores of the test in class, homework, and the character of each students. It could happen, when someone studies in the class, she/he is a dilligent and clever person, but when national exam, she/he become stress and cause the final scores bad. It shouldn’t happen if national exam is not a reference the students has passed the study or not. Some students try to find an answer key because they are too scare to face the national exam. If they want to continue the school, then the government can held the test for new students enrollment  which is different from the national exam.
In this year, the implementation of the national exams is getting worse. This is due to delay in the question paper in some region, so the implementation of the national exams is late. In addition, the question paper is not good enough. It harms the students who will do the national exam. There is no coordination between the dealer and the destination area. The question paper should be distributed to all of the island in Indonesia a few days before the national exam, not centered on the Java island, so there is no delay.
In conclusion, the implementation of the national exams progressively worse. National exam makes the students become fearful and find a way to cheat so the students have a bad character too.

School Environment

I study at SMAN 3 Bandung. The environment at this school is pretty good. The condition in front of the school is clean. There are many plants in this school that makes this school looks comfortable. When the grass has started to rise, the gardener always cuts the grass. School floor also looks clean. The cleaning service always clean the classroom after school. The toilet is clean, but sometimes the lights are not lit and there are some bathrooms that can not be closed.

Around the bazaar is also clean, because people usually buy food using plate, so there are no trash in bazaar. But sometimes there are trash on the table just because people are too lazy to throw it away. There are food vendors who would throw the trash because the students do not throw it. Bins also been split between organic and inorganic, but occasionally someone will not separate it. Maybe, because they haven’t realized the cause of it. And then I saw that the trash is still remain united between the organic and inorganic. So the students who see it also feel lazy because they know that the rubbish will eventually put together.

Holiday

Saturday, March 30th 2013

On that day, I went to Trans Studio Bandung with didi and his family. Before that, I went to lapbal for doing exercise and to SMAN 3 Bandung for study, which was called sks. I have joined sundanese sks. After exercise, my friends and I ate at Bali’s Hangout. We did the homework that Mrs. Kun gave to us. After a while, we saw at twitter that there was no sks today, because the teachers was attending the meeting for Ujian Nasional. We were very happy to hear that. But, one of my friend have took attendance for sundanese sks, so we went to school after we paid the foods and drinks. But, when we arrived there, Mrs. Kun has left the class and we didn’t take attendance. We sat in front of X IPA 3 for a while, then I went to Trans Studio Bandung immediately. I went there by my own because didi has been there. When I arrived at TSM, I changed my uniform while I waited him on the first floor. After that, finally I met him and his family. Then, we went to blablabla for lunch (again). Although my stomach was full, I still ordered a plate of pancake strawberry. Yummmmmmmmmy! After lunch, we went to mosque to pray. Theeeeeeennnnn, finally we entered Trans Studio Bandung. At first, we tried Vertigo and it was very funnnn! After that, we tried the Yamaha racing coaster. We enjoyed it! We went home at 6 p.m.

My friends and I sometimes come to her house for doing a homework. She has a brother. He studies  at Banjarsari. Sometimes, when Tami’s mother is going somewhere, Tami have to take care her brother. For example cooks some food. I like come to her house because it is comfortable for doing a homework or waiting for my friends. I like her because she is humorist. She talks about everything and she is so easy for work together.

Review :
I think the novel is good because it can improve people's imagination. It is also easy to understand and the novel is filled with attractive exploration. I think that The City of Ember is a really good book. It isn't just fiction. It actually sounds like something that could happen, especially if you read the sequel, The People of Sparks. I admire Lina's bravery and cleverness. Doon is also pretty cool. I like that the story had a lot of mystery in it and I also like that the book ends with an unfinished ending. The end of the book, leaving it a mystery.

Here is the sentence:

Mrs. Murdo, which walks faster than usual to keep her spirit, is crossing Harken Plaza when something fall into the street in front of her with scary sound. It’s amazing, she thinks, then she picks it up. It kinds of bundle. She begin to open it.
And......................the end!
